One day in the spring of 1998 I walked into a musty basement on MAC in East Lansing and played music with some guys I didn’t know. It felt like we had been playing together for years. I remember walking away that evening feeling more energized than I ever had in my life. I can’t believe it’s been 20 years since then. I’ve learned most everything I know about music from our experiences together. I’m so excited to announce these shows. I can’t wait to play with my crew again. Tix on sale this Friday! They will go fast, so get ‘em! #isntitnicetobehomeagain #steppininit
The #goodlovelasts mini-tour came to a close last night. Thanks to all of the beautiful, intimate venues for hosting and all of you that packed the places. This was a perfect musical reset button for me. I get so into the gear - guitars, amps, pedals, mics, and to filling up as much space as I possibly can, it was a good reminder that sometimes all that stuff gets in the way. This week I focused on the basics: songs, singing, playing, storytelling, and I felt so connected to the music and to the audience. It felt like a big leap forward after rolling my wheels for a bit. Thank you for the support and allowing me the opportunity to continue to dig deeper. I’m more grateful than I can express. Hoping to do this more in the near future. Keep an eye peeled for a @concertwindow show in the next few weeks. Lots of love, JD. 📸 Susan Park
